Would you take........(dramatic pause)....... a Mesmer? Only bad players can't recognize the things that each of the various professions bring to the table.

To me:
Good player: Plays to the best of their ability. They might not know everything about the game, but they try and attempt to grow as a player.
Bad player: Doesn't try, doesn't listen, doesn't pay attention. Doesn't matter how long they've been playing or what rank they are.

The same applies to people in HA and GvG who farmed fame and champion points with IWAY, Spiritway etc and have an inflated sense of self worth as a result. They fail to realise that their achievements are a result of exploiting imbalances and using builds straight from pvxwiki without applying any sort of real talent, skill or cooperation.
There's also a spectrum of maturity that contributes to a good and bad player. The whole "learn2play", "gtfo noob" and alike Internet clichés give players a bad reputation too.

Quite honestly, it the stubborn players that actually yell at you or call you foul names when you make a friendly suggestion about whatever to help them improve.

i dunno really...I suppose a bad player is someone who is level 20 and still has starter armour and think he/she is a good tank... or someone who just rushes in and doesnt know "DO NOT GO THERE" means...

A bad player is someone who says 'afk for a few', then quietly goes and burns their neighbours house down and kills their dog, then comes back without even flinching.
Very bad person.

A bad player is someone who is bad. This will be immediately apparent to those who are not bad, and maybe not to those who are.
Doesn't get any simpler than that, really.

Bad player aka ~99% of PUG players in GW:
- Brings a crappy, totally useless skillbar with him, often insanely crappy and useless
- Has crap armor, weapons. Has no runes, no insignias. Has weapons that are totally inappropriate for his class.
- Has attributes that are specced in a way that is totally inappropriate for his class
- Never pulls, probably doesn't even have a bow
- Doesn't know how to avoid aggroing multiple mobs at the same
- Doesn't know to run away from an un-winnable engagement that is sure to result in the death of every party member who doesn't run away (this usually occurs due to the aforementioned multiple aggroing by very same bad player)
- If monk, doesn't bother to heal vital NPCs who's death results in insta-failure
- Aggroes enemies onto vital NPCs, which results in insta-failure
- Ragequits at the first time he or anyone in the party dies, even though his or their deaths is/are entirely the result of his own terrible playing
- Goes AFK in the middle of the game

A bad player ?
Someone that thinks he's good, and stops trying to improve.

# The word newbie is used mostly in Internet gaming culture. Its definition is to be new to something, mainly video games or an internet service. There are variant spellings, such as newb, n00b, nob, noob and nub, although noob is sometimes used as another definition.

I don't care what Wikipedia and various websites say; gaming says that a Noob is a person who deliberately plays badly or causes grief and a Newbie is someone who is new.
Also, another example of a bad player is one who insists on using their favourite build when another build would be better for the task and so worsens the experience for everyone.
